A year-long collaboration, this is the first project from the creative partnership of Farris and producer Ben Jackson. The self-titled EP features many musical landscapes, from the lilting folk-ballad (Talk to Me), to a waltz (Better Than Never), to a power dance beat (Love Won't Let You Down). Of course included is a quintessential ballad from Farris, Other Side, with added background vocals from cowriter Gabe Dixon, that defines the themes of heartbreak and longing conveyed throughout the entire project. Allie Farris EP strikes a balanced chord between both sadness and hope, however, proving the songs to not be the only multi-dimensional component of this expansive record.
